Forest School
Our school year programs are split into a Fall Semester (August - December), and a Spring Semester (January - May) with other limited opportunities for participation with less commitment. These programs offer a unique educational supplement for homeschooling families, an introduction to school for Pre-K kiddos, and an incredible opportunity for your child to grow freely alongside the forests and veggies of Bloomsbury Farm!
Our Forest School Schedule
Maker Mondays
9am-3pm (ages 4-10) Children are invited to come explore the farm lands and forests of Bloomsbury through the wonders of artistic expression. Your explorer will keep a nature journal, and dive into hands on, nature-inspired projects. Creativity welcome!
Wednesday - Farm & Forest Outdoor Adventure Skills
Each week we will practice our skills as farm and forest outdoor explorers by learning basic naturalist and explorer skills including wildlife safety, building a shelter, using a compass, constructing a campfire, and more!
Tuesday - Farm, Forest & Science
Each week we will dive into physical and life sciences with a new and exciting investigation or experiment! Scientists will practice using the scientific method as they discover the flora and fauna of Bloomsbury.
Thursday - Field Trip Day
Please email us to learn more about visiting our farm info@bloomsburyfarmschool.com
Farm and Forest Fridays
9am-3pm (ages 4-10) Come explore the forests of Bloomsbury and participate in daily life on the farm! The day will be spent visiting and caring for farm animals, building a children’s garden, exploring the forest, and learning to lovingly care for the land.
** Ages 4-10 welcome, but please contact us if your child is outside of this age range and you’d like to see if they would be a good fit for the program.
